The Big Data of Gamification

Gamification is a technique that’s become widely used in enterprise products over the past few years. Game elements are incorporated into social business applications in particular. And while there is a general consensus around their effectiveness, this press release by the newly created Bunchball Labs seems to be putting it to the test.

Bunchball Labs will apply analytics to large sets of data–billions of user actions derived from gamification elements in many different areas. Along with gauging their effectiveness, it might be able to predict the effectiveness of certain strategies, the release says.
